A formulation and label audit helped bring product strengths into focus and organise the range into clear lines for consumers and B2B partners.
The client had its own manufacturing capabilities, a clear product philosophy and a considered approach to sales. Nevertheless, sales were below expectations, and the offering needed a review of formulations, costs and presentation. The audit revealed a fundamental communication issue: the label did not even give prominence to the product's main ingredient. Product groups and their strengths were insufficiently differentiated, making the range harder for consumers and business customers to assess.

We audited formulations and labels, combining product, cost and communication perspectives. We identified information that should better convey the products' actual characteristics and strengths.
We revised label designs, including the presentation of key ingredients, and reviewed the use of health claims against product communication requirements.
We organised the portfolio into clear product lines and distinguished the principal strengths of each group. This made the offering easier to understand for both consumers and B2B customers.
